Teach KC

Recruiting EducatorsWho Reflect The Communities They Serve

Students perform better scholastically, socially, and emotionally when their educators look like them. With Teach KC, we're making it happen by bringing 1,500 new teachers to the Kansas City region over the next 10 years.

What is Teach KC?

Nearly 50% Of KCPES Students Are Black

But less than 11% of teachers are teachers of color.

As student demographics have become more diverse in our public schools, the educator workforce has not kept pace; now, there is a collaborative approach to help change that.

Teach KC creates clear, supported pathways for educators who reflect the communities they serve to enter the teaching profession and build strong, long-term, and financially rewarding careers.
